The Studio

Thuro Type Studio was created at the turn of the century with the pure intention of adding a fresh sound to the music world and to provide an avenue for dedicated and talented artists to make an original sound for themselves as they emerge into the music industry. Specializing in recording, audio engineering, music production and mastering, now all is accomplished out of a newly renovated studio located in Danbury, Connecticut!

With close to 20 years of technical experience and personally dealing with dozens of different artists, musicians and projects, to say we are qualified in our field would be almost an understatement. We take extreme pride in not only working to give you the highest quality in your finished project, but in our personal dedication to your project and goal as if it was our own. Along with that, unlike most storefront studios, our ‘homey’ environment is what makes us succeed in making your visits with us a comfortable and stress free experience every time. Affordable pricing to not leave you broke with a project halfway completed, for a quality we’re told is better than most industry standards.

We use a wide range of hardware and software. Pro tools is mainly used, but supplement with Emagics Logic also. Software including Propellerheads Reason and Recycle, Spectrasonics Omnisphere and Stylus RMX, Sony’s Soundforge, Antares Auto-Tune and a plethora of plugins from Waves, IK Multimedia & others! Among some of our hardware and instruments, we have the Rode NTK Microphone, Eureka Presonus, The Triton Extreme, Akias Mpc2000 & MPD 32, The Pioneer CDJ800′s, Fender Telecaster, 1960 Silvertone/Danelectro Bass, LP Congas, Fender Acoustic. Soundproof booth with drum set and multiple instrument MICing capabilities.

As the sole owner, manager, and operator, Sean Glass personally handles and oversee’s all recording, post-recording, heavy audio engineering, music production and mastering.

We offer free consultations to new artists that would like to come down and discuss there musical goal and to check out our facility. We also offer a discounted rate to all new clients on their first session with us, so they can get a feel for our work flow and studio atmosphere.
